At RcodeZero DNS we use different DNS software for various scenarios, what fits best for the respective usecase. We also believe in open source. In the talk "Migrate from PowerDNS to Knot with help of Catalog Zones" at DNS Oarc Meeting our colleague Klaus Darilion (Head of Operations) describes how we use the rather new technology "Catalog Zones" with Knot Authoritative DNS Server.
The Anycast network of RcodeZero DNS has been extended: New nodes in Melbourne (Australia), Tampere (Finland) and Lisbon (Portugal) are available for TLD customers. Secondary customers benefit from newly added nodes in Melbourne, Madrid, Tampere, Lisbon and Tokyo.
The DNS (Domain Name System) is the basis for all services on the internet. It is necessary for all domain-based services to find the IP address of the relevant server. This includes for example the website of your company, the webshop, e-mail communication or hostnames for internal services (e.g. SAP, databases, etc.).
The expansion of the RcodeZero DNS Anycast network continues steadily. In the past few months, numerous additional locations have been added. For TLD customers new nodes are now available in Atlanta, Ljubljana, Mumbai, Seoul and Stockholm. For Secondary customers additional locations have been established in Ljubljana and Mumbai.
